Turmeric powder: 2/3 tsp,
Garam masala: ½ tsp,
Chopped coriander leaves: 1 tbsp,
Slit green chilly: 2,
Oil: 4 tbsp,
Salt,Water

  1. Got a question, please: Do you use 100% hint powder?? Here, you can only buy com­pounded asa­fetida (=30% hint + 70% fenugreek). Or should I rather buy fresh hint which I grind by myself?

  4. If you use Panch Phoron (which consists of fenugreek seed, nigella seed, cumin seed, black mustard seed and fennel seed), how would you alter the recipe (or quantity of ingredients)?

  5. Shilpi, I had watched this video before, just about to make it, so watching it again. The spices you have used for tadka is basically what we Bengalis call panch phoran, it is a combination of all those 5 spices.
