Keeping in mind one of the main attractions of the buyers, Gionee, the Chinese device maker which entered into the Indian mobile market in 2012, has launched its new device from it’s A series, Gionee A1. It was launched at the Mobile World Congress, 2017 in Barcelona last month.
After the successful launch of S6s Smartphone a few months ago, the brand has launched A1, equipped with 16MP front-camera which offers clearer and more beautiful selfies. The users need not to worry about the battery drainage as it has 4010 mAh battery and ultrafast charging capability. The phone is also loaded with safer fingerprint lock and latest android version and consists of 4GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and external storage supports up to 256 GB.

To announce the launch of A1 in India, the brand has launched a new campaign starring brand ambassador Alia Bhatt. The campaign beats everything that was done in the past and is well placed to take the world of ‘Selfie’ way forward. Conceptualized by Lowe Lintas Delhi, the brand has launched a campaign, #Selfiestan. The main aim behind this campaign is to differentiate the particular phone from any comparisons in the world of selfies. A1 is the first flagship model under #Selfiestan and will be followed by the launch of other models under the same umbrella. The main highlight in all these models is that they will all possess a selfie flash.

The TVC opens up with Bhatt welcoming audience in the world of #Selfiestan. The video shows different shots where she takes the selfie from her Gionee A1 and how she enjoys taking selfie of everything. It shows how while taking selfies people just adjust accordingly to get into the picture. She asks to take Welfie, Dilfie, Zulfie, Gelfie, Helfie. The video shows how everyone is busy in the world of #Selfiestan. The concept of #Selfiestan” shows that how an ideal world should be. It is a world of equals and a world where people come closer to each other where they can express their emotions freely and connect with strangers.

Speaking on her association with this campaign idea, Bhatt, said, “#Selfiestan is truly a special world where you and I can express ourselves freely through selfies. It is one big tribe of selfie lovers who change the notion of selfies being just a narcissistic form of expression to a more inclusive ‘smile-and-the-world-will-smile-with-you’ kind of place. Gionee had roped in actor Alia Bhatt as its brand ambassador a few months ago and Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli later joined her in helping the brand touch the new heights. Bringing them on board, the brand aims to sell its phones in the segment between Rs. 8,000 and Rs. 25,000. The brand is also looking at IPL for advertising where it is one of the sponsors of the Kolkata Knight Riders.
